HOYS Preview on local riders...

Don’t miss this years HOYS - 3-7 October at the NEC Birmingham there is so much to see and enjoy, for the first time there will be a display by Friesian Horses who with their Dutch Dressage Riders will be performing a Quadrill, they are all Stallions so this should really be worth watching.

Once again the Metropolitan Police will perform their activity ride and those who have seen it previously will know how superb and breath taking this can be.

The French Equestrian comedian Joel Chacon will be performing a Charlie Chaplin routine on Horseback, the Scurry Driving along with the Pony Club Games for the Prince Philip Cup and of course the great Wall on Saturday nights Puissance will have every one holding their breath.

The Whitaker family will be there to contest World -class International Show Jumping classes, Ellen being the reigning speed Horse of the year champion.

Starting early on Wednesday morning in the Showing arena will be the Simpson Refractories Mountain and Moorland Pony of the Year whilst Hunters and Show Jumping will take place in the main cushion track International arena.

Thursday is Workers day, along with Search for a Star Racehorse to Riding Horse and the Cuddy In Hand Championships, Hacks and Show Jumping.

Friday will see Coloured Ponies and Horses galore as they contend for the CHAPS Championships, Arabs, the Charlotte Morgan Pony of the Year and Show Jumping.

Saturday Show riding types and Show Hunters, Cob of the Year and of course the BIG RED WALL in the Puissance.

Sunday is Championship day - Riding Horse, Workers, the BMW Lead Rein and Mini Show Pony, Supreme Pony and Horse of the Year, Leading Show Jumper and much much more.

Local Riders have worked hard to qualify for this prestigious event and would like your support, many of them are our Members and we are very proud of them and wish them the very best of luck in their classes.

Vicky Smith who is riding a Section D Kentchurch Charity, Cheryl Street with Wortley Wild Jasmine, Victoria Timperley with Supernatural a 15-0hh S.H.P. , Lauren Edwards jumping Forever Katy, Lyndsey Dickenson and Chris Smith.
