New Barn News Update

What an awful Summer we have had, Shows cancelled due to wet ground and now a threatened Foot and Mouth outbreak. However the June Shows at New Barn went ahead with one of our members Lucinda Sinclair making the cover of Gallop Magazine, there are other pictures of the Show on this web site - they can be purchased if required, just contact me through the link or Telephone 0161 427 6564.

The Greater Manchester Show in Poynton Pool Park was very well attended, it was in memory of Bill from New Barn with proceeds going to the Air Ambulance, it was so nice to see many of our Members there, Portia Kay DeCarl Riley taking the reserve Supreme of Show - well done Portia.

The Premier Championships at Myerscough in July went ahead despite the Rain and muddy parking, our Members did well, many of them going through to the evening performance in Top Hat and all the trimmings -  again there are some pictures in our gallery.

We are starting a Hall of Fame gallery - first in will be one of our longest standing members Vicky Smith - from Chapel - Vicky represented New Barn at the first  BHS  Championships and has done well for us ever since - she has qualified for many Championships and of course the one we all want to get to - the Horse of the Year- Vicky will be there again this year riding Kentchurch Charity a section D produced by Mr Richard Telford, we all wish her the best of luck.

The picture of Vicky is on board Misty, at this years Manchester Show - the pair have done well for many years and Misty had been in semi-retirement but Vicky brought him back in remembrance of Bill and once again Misty was a Champion,  well done both of you.
