What a superb day we had at the Christmas Jumping Show on the 17th December.

Classes were well filled and there were some very good fancy dress outfits.

The first class - In Hand Jumping had 14 competitors who all entered into the spirit of things and cheered each other round, it was a good class to enter especially for young Horses as it allowed them to try a full course of jumps and see and hear spectators, very good experience for later on when they are backed and broken.

The Lead Rein was very competitive I dont know who jumped the highest - leaders or Ponies some young jockeys almost leaving the saddle when they were whizzed round corners in the jump off.Natasha Taylor being the winner with Stephanie Cullen collecting the fancy dress prize.

Beginners - again a popular class with a good entry, Ponies flying round wearing Antlers and Red Noses, Tinsel and Bells, every one enjoyed it, Sam; Housley taking  first place and the fancy dress prize.

What about the Santa Scurry- I nearly lost my voice shouting encouragement to riders when they had to jump off the Pony, dash to Santa and collect a prize from his sack before rushing back to stop the clock by touching their Reins, Heather Morrisons time was unbeatable - she flew round.

After the last class of the day-the pairs - competitors still did not want to go home, so we held a fun Chase me Charlie which was eventually won by Beth Howard, Kristina Thomas had her Pony high jacked by her Sister Laura to have a go and she came second,  well ridden both of you.
